Anna Talecheva told police she had come with a Thai friend. The friend had business inside the shop, so Ms Talecheva waited outside.
While waiting, she noticed a Thai man park a Honda Click motorcycle nearby. Ms Talecheva said she was playing with her telephone to while away the time and didn’t notice anything about the motorbike except that the licence number contained the digits 49. The man left the engine running.
The man suddenly ran up to her, grabbed her handbag, leaped on his bike and roared off.
She said the bag contained an iPad tablet computer, B2,500 and and 6,400 rubles in cash, and her passport.
Ms Talecheva said the thief was not wearing a crash helmet when the incident occurred, but could give no further details of what he looked like. – Source: Siang Tai
