Police confirmed that they had been investigating six suspects, and following interviewing one of the suspect’s wives, raided the rented property at 9am this morning.

The wife is currently being held in the station for questioning, while the suspect is still believed to be in Phuket. B200,000 of the missing money is still unaccounted for.

The discovery of the missing money follows on from Wednesday’s visit to the robbed Kasikorn Bank branch by an investigation team led by the new Southern Thailand Police Commander, Pol. Maj. Gen. Yongyuth Jaroenmanit with his Region 8 team.

In our original report, CCTV footage shows the unidentified man entering the bank, pointing a gun at terrified staff and demanding cash.

One staff member hides under the counter while the other, Sasiwimon Klakij, is held at gunpoint, and gets money from a drawer to give to the robber.
