DJ Aruna Abrams, the first Sydictive act to arrive in Phuket, said, “This is my first time in Phuket, so I am very excited to be part of this world-class concert. I hope everyone enjoys the party, and my music.”
Aruna Abrams is an American singer, songwriter, DJ and pianist. Her debut solo single, ‘Let Go,’ cracked the iTunes Dance Top 200 singles chart at number 150.
In May 2012, her track ‘Live Forever’ with Dutch superstar Ferry Corsten (see video above) shot to number two on the UK Upfront Top 40 Club chart, with the official music video racking up almost half a million YouTube views – over 100,000 in the first two days.
In addition to the announncement about Aruna, Phuket Vice-Governor Somkiat Sangkhaosutthirak explained that the designated party area will be 800 metres long, and the two VIP-only floating stages cannot hold a total of more than 240 people.
Both floating stages are required to have the necessary emergency equipment, and a speed boat is to be assigned to the area for security reasons.
The floating stages are first being set up in Makham Bay, Cape Panwa, on the southeast coast of Phuket, before being moved to Patong Bay.
