Phuket scores first medal
PHUKET: Five Phuket cyclists took bronze in the Phuket Games Road Time Trial competition this morning, finally putting the host island in the medal table after four and a half days of competition.

The Phuket students took third place in the 70-km competition, raced on Thepkrassattri Road.
They finished in a time of 1:46:30. Gold medalists Lampang won in 1:43:47 and Ubon Ratchathani took silver on 1:44:35.
The current medal total, as at midday today (May 28) stands at:
Chonburi: 9 gold, 6 silver, 5 bronze.
Bangkok: 6 gold, 7 silver, 10 bronze.
Samut Prakan: 5 gold, 6 silver, 7 bronze.
Suphanburi: 4 gold, 5 silver, 3 bronze.
Nakhon Sri Thammarat: 3 gold, 3 silver, 3 bronze.
Nakhon Ratchasima: 3 gold, 2 silver, 6 bronze.
Srisaket: 3 gold, 2 silver, 2 bronze.
Chiang Mai: 3 gold, 1 silver, 2 bronze.
Lampang: 3 gold, 1 silver, 1 bronze.
Khonkaen: 3 gold, 1 bronze.
Phuket: 1 bronze.
