Unlike previous developments by the company in Phuket, which have all been multi-storey apartment blocks, the B1-billion Burasiri Koh-Kaew will consist of 156, two-storey, stand-alone homes.

The project will be on just under 39 rai of land immediately to the east of the British International School.

There will be two designs: Burabukit, with internal space totalling 179 square metres, and Burarata, with 149 sqm. Price range from B5.9 million to B10 million.

Burasiri is suitable for those who seek privacy and nature-lovers, said Suriya Wannabutr, executive vice president of marketing and project administration.

“Burasiri was inspired by the lines of the surrounding hills, and is perfect for those who want to escape from town.

“We provide resort-style private living. The houses will be built in clusters since we don’t want you to feel cramped in one area; we have designed the project to be comfortable with not too many neighbours around.”

Common facilities include a rai of green area, a club house with swimming pool, children’s pool, and fitness centre. Security will include CCTV cameras in every important area, along with a double gate at the entrance to the project, with electronic key cards.

Show homes have already been built at the site and Burasiri will open for reservations this weekend (March 29-31). Anyone making a booking this weekend will receive an Apple MacBookAir and a Blu-ray Home Theatre system, together worth B120,000.

Meanwhile, Sansiri’s higher-end Baan Mai Khao development, launched just two weeks ago, has taken off strongly.

Spokesperson Kamonwan Prasitwuttivech told The Phuket News this week that all six of the six-room penthouses at its higher-end Baan Mai Khao beachfront condo development – priced at B53 million each – have been booked by Thai buyers.
