Phuket protesters march against Nitirat
PHUKET: Around 50 people marched to Phuket Provincial Hall today (Feb 3) to protest against the work of the Bangkok-based Nitirat group, and their campaign to amend the controversial Article 112 of the Penal Code on lese majeste.

Protestors demanded that the Nitirat group and others immediately stop their attempts to amend the law, and stop collecting signatures from people in Phuket in support of their efforts.
Phuket Vice Governor Somkiat Sangkaosuttirak met the protesters at 10.30am today (February 3), and accepted an official letter from Saman Kohlek and Don Limnanthapisit, the leaders of the protest, adding that he was happy to see people willing to speak up in their support of democracy and the Monarchy.
He promised to pass on their protest letter to the Ministry of Interior.
