“Police collected kratom totalling around 1 tonne. Natee Tienthong sold the kratom to teenagers for B600 a kilogramme – his house was like a kratom shop,” Pol Lt Col Amnauy Kaiwutanan, Chief Superintendent of Thalang Police Station said.
The police raided the house at 6am this morning (February 8) and found Mr Natee.
They inspected the garden and found about 100 to 200 square wah of kratom plants growing behind his house.
Mr Natee was arrested and taken to Thalang Police Station, awaiting a date with the Phuket Provincial Court.
Police are currently collecting the kratom, and the plants will be destroyed.
