Somkiet won his competition on 1,217 points, with second-place Nonthaburi on 1,216 points, and third-placed Chiang Mai on 1,111 points.
Earlier in the day Phuket swimmer Kanyapak Sor-sakul won silver in the 50-metre butterfly.
Phuket students Jirawat Thothong and Thitisak Mahan-chakornpong picked up silver and bronze medals respectively in the Changchuan Wushu (Chinese martial arts).
Chaowat Chomcheuy also won a bronze medal in the Nantao Wushu today, as did the Phuket bridge team.
This brings Phuket’s medal tally today to 16 medals – three gold, five silver and eight bronze – putting them 19th in the table. The Games end on June 5.
Gold medals: Girls’ soft tennis team; Phuket students Krit Jamkajornkiet and Panot Kingkaew in the competition’s Go event (a Chinese board game similar to chess); and bowler Somkiet Kraisombat in the boys’ bowling competition.
Silver medals: The boys’ soft tennis team; Jirawat Thothong in the Changchuan Wushu; Phuket’s Go players Sorawit Kingkaew and Pattarin Waiyakarn; Kanyapak Sor-sakul in the 50-metre butterfly; and Chaowat Chomcheuy in the boys’ Nanquan Wushu (Chinese martial arts).
Bronze medals: Thitisak Mahan-chakornpong in the boys’ Changchuan Wushu; Chaowat Chomcheuy in the boys’ Nantao Wushu. 3,000-metre runner Siriyakorn Kamlai; the Phuket’s girls’ and boys’ tennis teams; girls’ table tennis; cycling team road time trials and the Phuket bridge team.
