They students also admitted to police that they had illegally broken into the computer room three times previously.

Police were called to Baan Cherng Talay school on Saturday night (January 19), after being alerted by Wanno Tansakul, a computer teacher at the school.

Police arrived to find a group of angry teachers standing in front of the school’s computer room.

The police opened the computer room and found a haze of cigarette smoke. In the middle of the room, police saw three very tired looking male primary school students playing computer games together.

Police found food, lit candles on the floor, cigarette butts, blankets and pillows, and a knife with a foot-long blade.

During questioning, the boys said that they had all snuck out of their homes on Saturday night.

They had brought with them the knife, packs of instant noodles, fish cans, candles, and cigarettes

They used the knife to pry open the door to the computer room of the school. They then sneaked into the room to play video games and browse Facebook.

The students got the blankets, pillows and more snacks by breaking into the rooms of the kindergarten students and the school’s co-operative room.

The three students said they camped out in the computer room because they are crazy about computer games, but did not have money to pay for time at internet shops.

The officers took the boys to the Cherng Talay police station to make a record of their criminal activity. Police also informed their parents, and will prosecute the game boy addicts further.
