Phuket FC had the lead twice in their first home game of the 2013 season, before an enthusiastic crowd of thousands of local fans.
Kritsada Sakaew scored the opening goal for the Islanders in the 18th minute, giving Phuket and early lead, and Luiz "Dudu" Eduardo Porcino scored again in the 57th minute.
But Bangkok FC were able to pull back an equaliser both times, ending with a final score of 2-2 and a single league point for both teams in Yamaha League 1.
Phuket FC next play Sriracha Suzuki FC at Surakul Stadium on Saturday.
