Ayutthaya pressured the Islanders for much of the first half, and opened the scoring in the 35th minute.
Dudu responded with an equalizer just before the stroke of half time, from a free kick that went straight into the goal.
For much of the second half Phuket were struggling to defend their goal against continued Ayutthaya assaults, and the Islanders were reduced to 10 men with 5 minutes left when midfielder Nirun Panthong was injured and stretchered off.
After six minutes of extra time the referee blew the whistle and the score stood one-all. the one league point from the draw lifts Phuket slightly on the table to fourth, but many of the leading teams in the Yamaha League One/Thai Division One are still to play in this round on Sunday.
