And in preparation for Sunday’s game, to be played against Yala United, the Andaman Dragon yesterday (July 21) played a friendly against Hatyai United which they won 0-4.
Once again, new signing Seon Power (20) got on the score sheet giving Phuket a 0-1 lead,, and he was joined on the sheet by fellow new signings Jhanawat (24) and Isarapong Angsirikul (26) and also one of the fan’s favourites Sukree Etae (13).
Phuket FC’s coach Pittaya “Odd” Phimarnman was happy with the overall performance and said that it was a big improvement on last Sunday’s game.
Despite that win, Coach Odd was disappointed with some players, especially the midfielders, who he said were totally disconnected from Phuket’s strike force.
However, he is much more upbeat about the game against Yala United on Sunday. “The players have had enough rest, enough food, enough sleep and are now ready to get a good result,” he told The Phuket News today (July 22).
Meanwhile, Phuket’s new management, Royal Raya Sport, are hoping that now they have taken over the management of the club, fans who decided to drop their support when MaAnn Samran took over at the start of the season will start to come back to support the team at Surakul.
A number of ‘The Hulks’ fanclub made a much welcomed return to Phuket FC’s home ground in their last game against Satun United on July 10, and a representative of the foreigner’s fanclub the ‘Rawai Supporters Club’, has confirmed to The Phuket News that they are also gathering the troops ready to return to the ground on July 31.
Royal Raya Sport are aiming to to see Phuket FC return to Division 1 this season, and in order to help achieve this they and The Phuket News are calling for all football lovers to turn out in the hundreds, or perhaps even thousands, when they make their return to Surakul next week. And with entry at only B50 there’s not much of excuse not to go and give your local team the support they deserve.
