The five-member Power Storm Crew earned their place in the national shoot-out after winning the southern region stage in July, out-dancing local rivals Exotic Family.
Top of the pile were Isarn-based One Peace UD Town. They and two other teams will go through the the international Battle of the Year finals, which will take place later this year in Montpelier, France.
Although Power Storm Crew failed to get a ticket to the land of Ooh La La, their leader, who modestly calls himself just ‘King’, was upbeat about his group’s performance.
“We wanted to show our ideas, not only the technical aspects of dancing, so we included Muay Thai moves in our steps. It was really good to show off our creativity. We did our best.”
Power Storm Crew can often be seen practicing their moves in the parking lot of the Kee Resort in Patong.
