Phuket-bound tourists injured in bus smash
PHUKET: Around 11 tourists were injured when a bus suffered a tyre blowout and smashed into a concrete wall in Phang Nga yesterday (November 4).

The bus lies on its side after the accident.
On board were 18 tourists – 11 Australians, two Americans, four South Africans and one Japanese – 11 of whom suffered minor injuries. Several went to local hospitals but all have been released now.
Pol Maj Bandasak Srilerk, an investigator from the Kokkloy Police Station said, “The accident happened when the back wheel on the left side suffered a tyre blow out, and the bus went out of control.
“The bus slid and smashed into a concrete wall.”
The tourists were en route from the Ao Nang Cliff Beach Resort to the Sawasdee Hotel in Patong.
