PHUKET: Traffic on Patong Hill heading west is badly congested after a 16-wheel truck broke down on the Patong-bound lane on the Kathu side, just uphill from the shooting range.

The truck is blocking a tight bend on a steep part of the hill.
A volunteer from the Provincial Disaster Prevention and Mitigation Department has told The Phuket News that it will take at least another hour before the truck can be moved.
Anyone planning to go from Phuket Town or Kathu to Patong is advised to leave their journey until later. The DPM will let us know when the road is clear again.
