The woman’s Canadian companion, 22, was badly injured in the crash.
Police said the Norwegian was riding the motorbike, with her friend riding pillion. They were heading from the Loch Palm golf course to Red Mountain, when she lost control of the bike on a bend and hit a power pole.
Police said speed may have been a factor in the crash.
The woman’s body was taken to Patong Hospital, while the Canadian has been receiving treatment at Bangkok Hospital Phuket.
