Samruay Santhaweesuk, 43, told Phuket media yesterday (December 8) that her daughter, Smatya “Pin” Yanpanya, had disappeared after she went to use the internet at an internet café in Soi Loa Rong in Phuket Town.
The girl had been living with her grandparents after her parents split up.
CCTV camera footage in the internet café showed Smatya entering and leaving a couple of times.
She then left the café a final time, apparently behaving perfectly normally, and has not been seen since.
Ms Samruay said Smatya was “addicted” to Facebook. Her last Facebook post was at about noon of the day she disappeared.
The girl used the Facebook name “Pinnee smile”. Her status shows her as being "married" to another girl in the same school, but none of her schoolfriends knows where she is, said her mother.
Anyone seeing the girl or having knowledge of her whereabouts can call Phuket City Police at 076 212 115.
