The training was part of the PCG’s Youth Academy efforts to develop cricketing skills among young people on the island.
PCG chairman Mark Ashman said the latest mobile coaching clinic had been a big success, with many new cricketers taking part for the first time.
The British International School has now introduced cricket to its school sports programme, and BIS teams will take part in the PCG’s Sawasdee Cricket league.
The first games of the Sawasdee league were held at the Alan Cooke Ground in Thalang district last month, with teams from HeadStart School and the PCG’s Youth Academy taking part.
As well as visiting several of the island’s schools in recent months to coach school cricketers, the PCG coaches have also been holding regular cricket coaching and games for youngsters at the Alan Cooke Ground on Saturday mornings.
All children are welcome to take part. For more information contact Mark Ashman by email: chairman@phuket cricketgroup.com
