They also went out to Koh Maphrao where the company has its pearl farm, and paid a call on Governor Maitree Intusut.
The crown is set with Belgian diamonds and 11 South Sea pearls. The design team explained that the pearls represent the 10 member states of Asean, with the 11th, at the top of the crown, representing Asean unity.
This is the first time that the company has been chosen to create the crown for Miss Thailand World, though last year it made the crown for Miss World Singapore 2012. It has been contacted about doing so again this year.
The 20 contestants are staying tonight at the Cape Panwa Hotel. Tomorrow they will visit Wat Chalong and other tourist sites. They will leave on Thursday (March 14).
The Miss Thailand World 2013 finals will be staged at Bangkok Convention centre, Centara Grand at Central World on April 9. The finals will be broadcast live on Thai TV Channel 3.
