PHUKET: Laguna Phuket last week hosted a welcome lunch for Indian travel agents and media, along with Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) executives and airline representatives who traveled to the island on April 4 with the inaugural Thai Smile Airlines flight from Mumbai.

Thai Smile, Thai Airways International’s junior sister, launched three new routes from Phuket at the beginning of April, two linking with India and one between Phuket and Kuala Lumpur, using Airbus A320-200s with 12 seats in business class and 156 seats in economy.

Details of the flights:
Phuket-Kuala Lumpur, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays, departing at 09:20 and arriving at 11:40, with the return flight taking off from KL at 12:30 and arriving at 12:55. Ticket prices start from B1,465 return (excluding taxes).

Phuket-New Delhi, on Mondays and Thursdays, departing at 22:05 and arriving at 00:55 the next morning, with the return flight taking off from New Delhi on Tuesdays and Fridays at 01:55 and arriving at 07:55.

Phuket-Mumbai, starting from April 3, on Wednesdays and Saturdays, taking off at 22:30 and landing in Mumbai at 01:10 the following day, with the return flights taking off at 02:20 and landing in Phuket at 08:20.

Ticket prices for both Indian routes start from B7,280 return, excluding taxes.
