A team led by Pol Lt Col Pongsnarint Sutin, chief inspector of the Cherng Talay Investigations Division, arrived at the house at 6 pm on Tuesday (September 11).
At the location, a woman identified as Piyawan ‘Rose’ Damnernkij, 23, of Trang, emerged from the house and, seeing the police, “behaved suspiciously, then tried to flee”. The officers captured her, however, and searched her purse.
Inside it they found four bags of crystal methamphetamine (ya ice). Four more bags were found in a brown powder box she was carrying, for a total of 6.8 grammes of the substance. She was placed under arrest and the evidence seized.
In the house, police encountered Pobchoke ‘Miao’ Wongjarern, 29, of Songkhla, Sootinant Buabootr of Kalasin, and Wirat Sroyson, 26, of Cherng Talay. A search of them turned up three more bags of ya ice weighing in total 2.1 grammes. On a bed they found paraphernalia for smoking the drug.
All three were arrested.
