The 47-year-old, who runs a small shop outside her house on Maeluan Road in Phuket Town, was delighted.
“I am so happy, and my family are too,” she told The Phuket News with a big smile.
Ms Atcharaporn said she had bought a book of lottery ticket every year because the money went to a good cause.
“Every year I buy a book of tickets to help the Red Cross, and now, the Red Cross have helped me. The winning ticket was the last one in the book.”
She said the ticket seller came to her house every year. “She has my telephone number and she called me because she realised that someone who bought a ticket from her had won the big prize – and that someone was me.”
Still in shock over her massive win, Ms Atcharaporn said she had not thought about how to spent the money, but said it would greatly improve her life and that of her two children.
