The competition takes place in the venue’s Double FlowRider surf machine, which pumps out water at a speed of 30 kilometres an hour over a large sculptured vinyl surface, giving riders the opportunity to surf a continual wave standing up on a flowboard, or by kneeling or lying on a bodyboard.
The Flow Jam! event, which includes international and national class competitions for men, women and juniors in flowboarding and bodyboarding, takes place at Surf House Phuket in Kata on Saturday, June 15, from 12pm until 7pm. Spectators are welcome and admission is free.
