“The body is thought to be Asian or Thai, aged around 35-40 years and 165 cm in height. He had a dark skin, and was clothed only in black underwear.
“He had a wristband on his left arm saying ‘We Love the King’,” said Pol Sub Lt Suporn Muangkhai – duty officer at Wichit Police Satation.
Local fishermen spotted the body floating face down and alerted the Royal Thai Navy Third Fleet and the Marine Police. The Navy went out and collected the body, bringing it back to land at the deep sea port.
The body is being stored at Vachira Phuket Hospital while police check missing persons reports.
