Phuket Governor Tri Augkaradacha used the occasion to declare that the Games had been a great success.
More than 11,800 athletes, trainers and support staff participated in the Games, with 540 gold medals awarded across 40 different sports.
Phuket came seventh in the medal tables, with 18 gold medals, 16 silver and 26 bronze.
