Paintings, artwork, and short films from various directors will be showcased.
Inspired by Thai-language short story book “Broken Utopia”, organises say the idea is to combine together numerous different ideas and art from people in various professions.
Artists and directors will interpret the “Lost in Utopia” phrase and convey their message and ideas through their art, with the main idea being “everything is changeable”.
This idea of “everything is changeable” has been extended to the programme of the event, which is not set in stone. At the time of printing, film showings were scheduled for Friday (February 16).
Bo(ok)hemian Arthouse was established eight years ago. Many partners are involved, but Phuket doctor “Nokpaksanawin”, also known as “Doctor Nil”, is the main organiser of events.
Partner Wiwat “Chai” Lertwiwatwongsa, who works in Phang Nga but is a Phuket local, told The Phuket News the venue had been established to create a unique place for art to be showcased.
“The arthouse is not for commercial purposes, but a place for those who want to have a venue to lose themselves in their own utopia”, he said.
The event is free of charge and will be happening every day from 10am to 7pm.
