This exciting event offers two distances; the Mini Classic – a 45 kilometre cycle to the north of the island and back – while the Classic, which requires much more endurance, is 106 kilometres with a total elevation of 861 metres. It follows the same route as the Mini Classic but then extends all the way to Khlong Thom, nearby Phang Nga National Park and back to Thanaypura.
Several categories are now accepting registrations: for the Mini Classic, those are Open, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49 Men, 40+ Women and 50+ Men, while the Classic has Open, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49 Men, 40+ Women and 50+ Men. Prizes will be awarded to the top three winners in each category.
Registration can be done online on Thanaypura’s website (www.thanyapura.com/event/thanyapura-phuket-classic-cycling-race) or at their Front Desk by November 5.
Participants are invited to collect their race bags including a free cycling jersey and their BIB & timing chips on Nov 12, the day prior to the event. All finishers will also receive a Commemorative Finisher Certificate.
