Phuket Police Commander Maj Gen Choti Chavaviwat said CCTV footage of the Thanon Kwang intersection did not include any footage of the crime, nor did it show Mrs Jintara’s killers fleeing the scene. Other cameras in the area were similarly unhelpful
Police would meet again this afternoon (January 22) at 4pm to discuss the evidence gathered so far.
They have already ruled out any romantic conflict leading to her murder, and are focusing on a work conflict as the possible motive.
Mrs Jintana previously worked at Anantara, but had been working at the Hilton for six months.
“She was very straight-talking, and because of her position and personality, it is likely she had disputes or problems with colleagues,” Maj Gen Choti said.
Police first thought the killers were travelling in a Toyota Vios, but now believe they were riding on a motorbike.
Mrs Jintana was driving a white Chevrolet car north on Chao Fa West Rd around 8.30 pm on Friday night when she was killed by a single shot, fired through the driver’s side window.
Police said she died instantly, and her car continued until it crashed into a lamp post beside the road.
