Cleaners arriving this morning (April 5) for work found drawers pulled out, their contents dumped on the floor, and file drawers and cupboards yanked open.
Investigators from Phuket City Police Station arrived to fingerprint the office and worked out that the burglar probably got in through the toilets.
Police and Revenue Office staff are still taking stock but it appears that all the thief got away with was some small change belonging to staff.
A senior police officer who asked not to be named told The Phuket News, “I believe there was only one robber. We’re still collecting evidence. Staff of the office had some things stolen but we don’t have a full list yet.”
