BIS Christmas Fair kicks off tomorrow in Phuket

PHUKET: As Christmas is not too far around the corner, the British International School Phuket (BISP) Christmas Fair, on Friday (December 7) is a great place to start the Christmas festivities.

Thursday 6 December 2012 09:39 AM

Entrance is free and there are many exciting activities happening during the afternoon, such as the live song and dance performances by BISP students, trapeze shows by resident mid-air circus arts performers, magic shows and of course, the opportunity to meet Santa in ‘Santa’s Grotto’.

Children will have fun on the bouncy castle and take part in the many game stalls, including the lucky dip and face painting. In addition, there will be plenty of craft and food stalls and delicious homemade cakes and cookies to sample.

The biggest raiser of funds from last year, and one of the Fair’s highlights is the silent Skills Auction.

BISP parents, teachers and Phuket companies have donated all sorts of weird and wonderful skills where people interested in learning a new skill will place bids.

Language lessons and courses (Korean, Finnish, Spanish, French, Indonesian, Thai, Italian), basketball, football and swimming clinics; surfing, pilates, yoga and scuba diving lessons, trapeze and sailing lessons; also a yacht cruise and kayaking.

Performing arts are also on offer such as lessons on the drums, guitar, harmonica, and drama for everyday life. There are also photography lessons, a speech writing course, cooking classes and much more….
