Thungtong Police Superintendent Lt Col Yodsapan Suwannasit told The Phuket News, “We were alerted at about 8.50 am. The thief took the cash box which contained about B30,000 and a Nokia mobile.”
Police work was hampered because the thief also took the precaution of stealing the recording from the CCTV camera in the restaurant.
“We have found some other CCTV cameras nearby. Today we will follow up on this because the offices with the cameras were closed for the weekend.”
