Avista Group moves up a notch with new resort

PHUKET: The new high-end Avista Hideaway Resort, owned and run by Thai group Avista Hospitality and Investments, is scheduled to open in November.

Friday 15 June 2012, 03:02PM

The company already owns and runs the three-star Patong Beach Lodge and the Avista Resort and Spa on Kata Beach.

The new 143-room hotel is currently nearing completion on a hillside overlooking Tritrang Beach, at the south end of Patong Beach, close to the Merlin Beach Resort, and with views both to the north over Patong and to the south over Freedom Beach.

The company promises a private beach club, three themed swimming pools, butler service and “cutting edge” technology, a family games room and “special touches like Sleep Therapy offered by our experts for stressed executives and new parents”.

Avista Hospitality’s Group Chief Executive Officer Ramesh Khendry, explained, “The underlying theme [for guests is] a getaway from their fast-paced lives, a feeling of space and tranquility where they can connect again and recharge while every need is taken care of.”

The hotel will have six different room types, ranging from the Bueno Vista room, currently offered at B6,600 a night and the Family Vistam which sleeps four at B7,200 a night, to the Tropical Hideaway Pool Suite with private pool and Zen garden, offered at B15,600 a night.
