Her body was finally found at a small river some 100 metres away from where she fell.
“She was walking with her husband on the side of the road near the gutter but suddenly she slipped and fell into the gutter at Jalan Tangkuban Perahu,” said the Chief of North Kuta Sector Police, AKP Reinhard Nainggolan.
She and her husband had bene trying to catch a cab. However, due to the traffic jams resulting fom the flooded roads, they had decided to instead go on foot.
“Since there was a traffic jam due to flooded roads, they decided to walk, with Ms Randall walking in front. But unfortunately she slipped,” Reinhard added.
Her husband, Made Keenan, 46, had tried to grab the arm of his wife, but unfortunately the current of the water was too strong.
“Her husband tried to seize her arm but as the current was too strong and it was raining heavily, finally she was adrift,” said Reinhard.
She was found dead 100 metres away after two hours of searching.
