Tosspon Maneepakorn, 21, who resides in Koh Kaew, was stopped for a routine check by police when he rode past a checkpoint on Rassadanusorn Road in Phuket Town on Tuesday night.
After checking his bag, police found eight packages containing the drugs, along with B6,050 cash. Police also seized the Honda motorcycle he was riding and a Nokia cellphone as evidence.
Tossapon is unemployed and confessed to being paid B10,000 to make the delivery to a person waiting in a restaurant in Baan Kuku area. His employer said he would get paid through his bank account after completing the job, but was caught before he could make the delivery.
He said it was the first time he had acted as a drug courier.
Police are now investigating to try and locate the man’s employer.
